// FUNDING THE FUTURE

NDTC Scholarship Program

Since 1999, NDTC has proudly supported local students through our longstanding Scholarship Program. Each spring, we award ten $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing further education, helping to invest in the future of our community.

The scholarship program for 2025 is closed.

NDTC will begin accepting applications for the 2026 scholarship program on December 1, 2025.

General Eligibility

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Parent(s) or guardian(s) must have their full-time primary residence within NDTC exchanges and must be a current subscriber to NDTC telecommunications services
  • Must be accepted and registered for the upcoming fall term at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school
  • Consideration may be given for special circumstances

Requirements/Selection Criteria

// Applications are judged based on the following required criteria.
  • Responses to essay questions – at minimum requested length and double-spaced
  • Most recent high school transcript, including 7 semesters, GPA, and Class Rank
  • ACT test scores if not included on transcript
  • Achievements
  • School activities
  • Community activities
  • Reference letter from high school official or teacher
  • Consideration of special circumstances if applicable

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Children of NDTC employees are not eligible.

Foundation for Rural Service

The foundation annually awards scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. All applicants require partnership with an NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible.

FRS has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since its inception; empowering rural students throughout the country to advance their communities with invaluable skill sets and experiences.

The 2025 Foundation for Rural Service scholarship window has closed. Applications for the 2026 scholarship will open in November 2025.
